These 30 grain volume Pellets are intended for use in 44 or 45 caliber cap and ball revolvers.
May be used in 45 caliber in-line muzzleloading rifles in conjunction with 50 grain pellets in combinations not exceeding 100 grains.
Made in the USA by Hodgdon Powder Company.
Available in a 100-pellet box.

First time try today. 18 shots, .454 round ball, CCI # 11 caps in my Ruger Old Army. had one weak fire, possibly because of .454 round ball instead of tighter .457 recommended by Ruger . Will use .457 ball next time. Used dab of Bore Butter over each chamber, no wad. The pellets are very convenient. If I get consistent ignition with a tighter ball, I will up my rating to a five star. Also, the 18 shots were very clean with no build-up of residue to foul the action.

If you shoot a 44 cap and ball revolver, this is the best powder.

1 Poor burning, dangerous fire!

Delayed fire, likely due to the hole in the pellets. Fired like a flintlock. But the worst part was the incomplete burning of the pellet. A smoldering piece struck my target and set it on fire! Thank God there was no dry grass. Unsafe in my opinion.
