Description
Winchester® StaBALL™ 6.5 is the world’s first temperature-insensitive BALL® Powder, stable in extreme-hot or -cold conditions. It provides optimal loading density in cartridges appropriate for the burn speed, which is ideal for 6 Creedmoor, 6GT, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7MM-08, 270 Winchester and many more. Typical of a ball powder, precise metering contributes to improved velocity and pressure standard deviations, ingredients that are paramount to match grade accuracy! This REACH-compliant, “environmentally green” propellant has copper fouling reducer additives, meaning longer durations of competition and field shooting without having to clean the bore. Precision accuracy throughout the match! Velocity levels obtainable, depending on the cartridge, are 30-200 fps greater than other propellants in its class. Stability, Precision and Speed, says Winchester StaBALL 6.5 is the “Best of the Best”!

Really stable and efficient powder
I’ve grown to love Staball 6.5 after trying it out with several cartridges around the 308-6.5 Creedmoor size. When I pair it with a 135gr Hornady A-tip in my 6.5 Creedmoor I can get 100-150 fps faster than other powders, tight groups at 100 yards and consistent hits out at distance. Really great stuff.

Staball powder
Worked well for my 416 Rem. Groups were not quite as tight as my H4350 load

StaBall 6.5
Used in both .270 and .30-06. At max loads for each, shot 1-hole groups of 5 at 200yds measured. Velocities were consistently 100 fps higher than my previous loads using IMR 4064 with no signs of excessive pressure. Both guns are rebarreled 1903A3s. My observer stated he did not think the new loads had as much report as my old loads, also

Staball 6.5

StaBall Performance
I have a Savage 12FV in 6.5 Creedmoor with a nice piece of glass on board. I found my handloads with Win 748 and 120gr PPU OTM bullets was a solid 5 shot .5moa shooter, couldn't be happier. With the component shortage I was looking for powder and found StaBall 6.5. It looked like an almost universal powder so I grabbed a couple pounds. It worked great in my 270 Axis shooting just sub-moa groups, 308 was the same in my Remington 700 so I loaded it up in 6.5 Cm for my 12FV for a ladder test. With a mid-load of StaBall 6.5 and those cheap 120 grainers at almost 2900fps my second 5 shot group went into a .370" group at 100 yards leaving a ragged hole. Needless to say I buy the 8 lb. jugs now and it's my "go to" powder for everything I load.

270 and 30/06
Shoots good in both of these calibers. 130 gr. in the 270 in Remington 700 I'm getting 3/4" at 100 yards. The only thing I dislike about it is the muzzle flash. Almost a foot or so in my rifle. Shoots good in the 30/ 06 in Winchester 70 carbine with both 165 gr and 180 gr loads. I'm getting 1/2" groups at 100 yards.
