Winchester 748 is a ball powder and the choice for loading 223 Remington cartridges.
The low-flame temperature extends barrel life compared to other similar speed powder. It is also ideal for a wide variety of centerfire rifle loads, including 222 Remington, 30-30 Winchester, 30 Winchester, and up to 485 Winchester Magnum.
Made in the USA.
Available in 1 lb. and 8 lb. containers.

5 W748 is Great Varget Substitute

Because I cannot find enough Varget for my needs, I decided to try W748 in my 6mm BR, BRX. and Dasher rifles because it was close to the same burn rate on the comparison charts. So far it is shooting just as accurately as my Varget loads and without having to change the charges significantly. Very happy so far with this powder.

Excellent Powder . . . meters like water. Have no issues regarding ambient temperature.
