After completing the tests to make sure my powder is safe I went to the range. My 46 year old powder fired just as smooth, clean, with zero unburned powder as it did when it was new. My Dan Wesson 357 vent, 6' barrel loves this powder.

This is a terrific load in the .41 Magnum. I load 20.3/Federal magnum primer, new Starline brass. However, in Model 57 Smith and Wesson revolvers, I get an average of 1150 fps. Somewhat understandable, as I presume the factory velocity is measured from non-vented barrels.

Works good for 357 mag, achieves expected 1200+ fps. Feeds well in my Hornady progressive press.

The best powder for heavy 44 Magnum loads with 300 grain bullets!!! LBT heat treated solids and max charges of 296 are a super penetrator for large dangerous game!

Excellent for loading high velocity rounds in big bore revolvers such as .44 magnum, .460 magnum and .500 magnum. I am confident that it would also be well suited to .454 Casull and other strong calibers.

When I purchased my Super Blackhawk, the first powder I chose was WW296. After testing with a number of projectile weights it seemed a waste of time to try another powder as it was obvious the combination shot better than I could! This is the only powder I have used in my 44 Magnum ever since.
