Description
IMR 7828 SSC is a magnum rifle powder with exactly the same burn rate as standard IMR 7828 and uses the same data. However, due to the super short kernels, metering is virtually as good as a spherical powder. This allows up to 4% more powder space in the case and in many loads yields more velocity than standard 7828. Such loads are marked with an asterisk in the data to show where standard 7828 will not fit.

Used in 300 PRC
Used in 300 PRC At 300 yards. Using a Hornady 208ELDM and 70.9 grains. I got a 1.019 10 shot group. Yep I’m happy with it.

IMR7828ssc
7828ssc is a wonderful powder for my magnum cartridges, it meters well, the burn rate is spot on and it’s a relatively clean powder, I load 264, 7mm, 300’s, 8mag, and 338ultra. And it performs great.

IMR 7828 SSC
Fantastic powder for the 270 and 257 Weatherby magnums that you can possibly use to reload for them. The only powder that that can even come close to IMR 7828 SSC for these 2 calibers would be H 1000. It is a pleasure to go to the rifle range with a new developed load for your guns knowing that it is going to shoot very satisfactory groups everytime, and IMR 7828 will always make it happen if I do my part with the reloading process. Keep up the great work producing it. Also Hodgdon, thank you for the quick delivery to me of this product
