Product Overview
IMR 7828 SSC is a magnum rifle powder with exactly the same burn rate as standard IMR 7828 and uses the same data. However, due to the super short kernels, metering is virtually as good as a spherical powder. This allows up to 4% more powder space in the case and in many loads yields more velocity than standard 7828. Such loads are marked with an asterisk in the data to show where standard 7828 will not fit.

Available in 1-LB and 8-LB containers.

I get very consistent weight with this powder.(I use the Lee dipper). Good results when shooting. Ordered off Hodgon’s web sight good delivery time and well packaged.

Accurate in 300 PRC with 208 ELD-M Not quite the speed as RL-26 but a great alternative.

Works great in my 7mm Rem. Winchester with 175 grain lead. Also trying it in a 243 with 100 grain lead.

Whe doing load development for both my 7mm Rem Mag and my 300 Win Mag I found 7828 gave me the lowest Extreme Spread while still giving me the velocities I was looking for. Good consistent velocities makes everything else easier when reloading for long range shooting.

This is one of my favorite slow burning powders for magnum cartridges. Always shows consistent bullet speeds when developing loads as demonstrated by my corny.
