Description
Varget is an extruded propellant in the Hodgdon line of Extreme series of powders. Varget features small, extruded grains for uniform metering, is insensitive to hot and cold temperatures and produces higher energy for improved velocities over other powders in its burning-speed class.
The powder ignites quickly and burns clean, translating into superb accuracy, higher scores and more clean, one-shot kills.
Varget is the perfect powder for shooting the 223 Remington with heavy bullets in competitive matches. Outstanding performance and velocity can be obtained in such popular cartridges as the 22-250 Remington, 308 Winchester, 30-06, 375 H&H and many more.
Made in Australia.
Available in 1 lb. and 8 lb. containers.

Great stuff
Varget works great in several rounds I shoot including 308win, 6mm br and 6mm dasher. It is also not affected by the heat here in Central Florida. It's great stuff.

Accurate powder for .223 or 22-250

Varget.
The current lot purchased this May, has produced 1/2 in 3 round groups with 175 gr fmjbt @ 100 yard with Hodgdon starting load in 1-10 18in barrel. Yes, that's better than tac!

Consistent, meters well. Wish it was easier to find.

6mm Workhorse
As most alreaAy know, this powder is the gold standard for many accuracy loads in the 6 BR through the 6 Dasher and even the .308. I just wish there was more available to meet the growing demand.

Varget Works Well
It's no surprise to anyone I'm sure that a 6br likes varget. My experience has been the same. Good accuracy and precision with very good velocity.

Varget vs H4350
Both are consistent and outstanding powder. I shoot a lot and have burned a lot more 4350 in my 6.5 creedmoor. Recently I built a 6GT and used both Varget and H4350. The only issues I have are availability. But both are excellent powder!
