Description
Hodgdon Trail Boss® is designed specifically for low-velocity lead-bullet loads suitable for Cowboy Action shooting. It is a purpose-built option for handloaders looking for a powder matched to that application.
Trail Boss is primarily a pistol powder, while also offering some application in rifles. This makes it relevant for handloaders working with appropriate low-velocity lead-bullet loads across those platforms.
Built on new technology, Trail Boss provides very high loading density and good flow through powder measures. The formulation is also stable through severe temperature variation and is designed to provide additional safety to the handloader.
Trail Boss is made in Australia and is available in 9 oz. and 2 lb. containers. Consult current Hodgdon reloading data and follow all product-label directions before use.

Trail Boss
Shoots softer and quieter than most. Leaves a small amount of granular soot. Tried to develop some subsonic 44 mag rifle rounds with jacketed bullets. Couldn't get enough velocity with 240 grain bullets. 180 gr bullets works. Getting some Hi-Tek coated cast bullets which might get me over the velocity hump. If not, it's back to Titegroup.

Trail Boss
a unique powder that fills many niche and much much-needed requirements on my loading bench. From Airweight S&W .38 k frame loads to light practice loads. I’m especially impressed by how well it is perfect for a .33 Blackout load. IT IS BACK!

Trail boss
The best powder I have used in cowboy action shooting I like that it fills up my 45c Cases. Easy to load in a lee turret or on a Dillon 650. Please continue making this powder, the past few years have been tough trying to find as good a product as Trail boss Mike

Trail Boss
I give this product a 10 out of 10 with my only complaint being that it has been nearly impossible to buy it in the last several years. I have used this product for at least 20 years, but it has been increasingly difficult to find. Please make this product in larger quantities so the availability increases.

Trail boss
Review is as follows-i use trail boss for subsonic reloads, it works and it works very well, more so than most other powders for subsonic loading. I will always give trail boss high marks, Hogdon shipping on the other hand-with the Haz fees, and the price-not so much, but that's a conversation for another time. My recommended action; Buy trail boss, shoot suppressed!! From a long time reloader and suppressed shooter
