Trail Boss was designed specifically for low-velocity lead bullets suitable for Cowboy Action shooting.
It is primarily a pistol powder but has some application in rifles.
Trail Boss is based on new technology that allows very-high loading density, good flow through powder measures, stability in severe temperature variation, and, most importantly, additional safety to the handloader.
Made in Australia.
Available in 9 oz. and 2 lb. containers.

Trail boss powder
I use this powder for my cowboy action in 45 colt. Love the results. Great powder for the 45 . Please keep trail boss in stock. If available it is the only powder I will use.

Trail Boss
Shoots softer and quieter than most. Leaves a small amount of granular soot. Tried to develop some subsonic 44 mag rifle rounds with jacketed bullets. Couldn't get enough velocity with 240 grain bullets. 180 gr bullets works. Getting some Hi-Tek coated cast bullets which might get me over the velocity hump. If not, it's back to Titegroup.

The best powder I have used in cowboy action shooting I like that it fills up my 45c Cases. Easy to load in a lee turret or on a Dillon 650. Please continue making this powder, the past few years have been tough trying to find as good a product as Trail boss Mike

I give this product a 10 out of 10 with my only complaint being that it has been nearly impossible to buy it in the last several years. I have used this product for at least 20 years, but it has been increasingly difficult to find. Please make this product in larger quantities so the availability increases.
