Trail Boss was designed specifically for low-velocity lead bullets suitable for Cowboy Action shooting.
It is primarily a pistol powder but has some application in rifles.
Trail Boss is based on new technology that allows very-high loading density, good flow through powder measures, stability in severe temperature variation, and, most importantly, additional safety to the handloader.
Made in Australia.

Delighted to see Trail Boss' return - it's been a long, sad dry spell. I use it exclusively for my ancient firearms, including a .45-70 trapdoor Springfield, a .43 Spanish Remington rolling block and an 1873 Vetterli in .41 Swiss. Easy to load, safe and effective with excellent load performance consistency - please keep making it!

My Go To Powder for Lead
I’ve been using TrailBoss for years when I reload lead bullets. Always consistent in the results for reduced loads. I mainly use it for 44 special and 44 magnum loads with lead bullets. Standard deviation seems more consistent with a heavy crimp. Glad to see TrailBoss back on the market, after several years of not able to find it.
