It is primarily a pistol powder but has some application in rifles.
Trail Boss is based on new technology that allows very-high loading density, good flow through powder measures, stability in severe temperature variation, and, most importantly, additional safety to the handloader.

I’ve loaded this powder for years. Not only is it great for cowboy action shooting, powder puff loads for young/recoil sensitive people, it’s also great for suppressed rifles and pistols for super quiet ammo!!

My Go To Powder for Lead
I’ve been using TrailBoss for years when I reload lead bullets. Always consistent in the results for reduced loads. I mainly use it for 44 special and 44 magnum loads with lead bullets. Standard deviation seems more consistent with a heavy crimp. Glad to see TrailBoss back on the market, after several years of not able to find it.

Delivered on time (almost)
Trail boss is one of the most rare powders ,besides 5744, it's basically an almost universal powder for anything that shoots lead. So just being able to get my hands on it is a good thing! UPS was a day late ,but that was no fault of Hodgedon. So ,Well Done!
