Trail Boss was designed specifically for low-velocity lead bullets suitable for Cowboy Action shooting.
It is primarily a pistol powder but has some application in rifles.
Trail Boss is based on new technology that allows very-high loading density, good flow through powder measures, stability in severe temperature variation, and, most importantly, additional safety to the handloader.
Made in Australia.

I haven't seen any Trail Boss powder for a long time. I'm delighted that it is available again. I love how it fills a case and is the perfect powder for blackpowder era cartridges.

....this powder is the finest product for handloading any brass cartridge with cast, swaged or plated lead bullets used in competition, practice, plinking, metal (gong) and hunting.......also good with some jacketed bullets as well.......this is about the only smokeless powder that will reliably fill a large brass casing for consistent burning!!!......we need more!...More!...MORE!.....

Having spinal neck fusion on 6 vertebrae from a service connected injury this powder lets me continue shooting because of lower recoil. I use a shooting rest to help with the recoil also. I haven't done any pistol loads yet. 7mm Rem.Mag is my first load.
