Hodgdon Benchmark® is an Extreme Extruded propellant developed for precision cartridges. It is built around the needs of reloaders working with benchrest and small-varmint chamberings, where careful component selection and published load data matter at every step.
Benchmark is ideally suited for the 6mm PPC, 22 PPC, 6mm BR, .223 Rem., and .222 Rem. It also performs superbly in .204 Ruger and with light match bullets in .308 Winchester. For exact component combinations and charge data, use the Hodgdon Reloading Data Center.
Its small, easy-metering granules flow through progressive presses, giving competitive-shooting reloaders a practical handling advantage at the bench. Incredible powder choice for 50-55 grain bullets in 223.

I have been pushing .223 BTHP Hornady's with superb accuracy out to 500 yards with Benchmark powder. It meters well out of the powder hopper, and extreme spread on muzzle velocity was 20 fps.

Benchmark powder really performs
Benchmark really shines in my 223REM and 22-250 Remington. I’m using it with multiple bullets in both cases. I’m getting top velocities and groups under 0.5 MOA. I am using it on varmint hunting. Nothing wrong with top shelf accuracy and velocity. This is an excellent powder to try first. A good one to buy 8#’s at a time.
