Product Overview

Blackhorn 209 is a low residue, high performance propellant made for muzzleloaders and black powder cartridges. It is engineered to consistently shoot at higher velocities and with greater accuracy than any other muzzleloader powder available today. Like most black powder and other muzzleloading substitutes, Blackhorn 209 should be loaded by volume and not by weight. Made in Canada.

Great product. Works just as described. I will not run any other powder after experiencing blackhorn 209 powder.

    Hodgkins 209

I used to shoot pellets after reading up on Powder form and measuring it out yourself. I tried several different types and Hodgkin 209 in my opinion is the most consistent and superior powder out if you want good groupings give it a shot.

    Blackhorn 209

Blackhorn 209 needs no review. It is hands down the best muzzleloading powder on the market hands down. The only negative is its recent short supply and subsequent skyrocketing price.

    Tight Spread

I was impressed with how consistent the velocities were. I hand load for center fire rifles and new to muzzleloaders. Charges were measured by weight and loaded behind 340gn Horday ELD-X bullets. Holds under 1 MOA out to 300yrds. Performed markedly better than pellets from several others. Rifle is a Remington 700 UML.
