5 IMR4350 smokeless powder
Posted by Gino on Nov 20th 2021
I have been using IMR4350 for more than 5 years. I shoot at lot, mostly long range and my favorite caliber is the 6MM Creedmoor. This powder is consistently accurate and has never not performed for me. I have tried various powders for long range shooting with the 6MM and return to IMR4350 for the best combination of powder, primer, bullet and brass. I would recommend this powder for anyone trying to achieve accuracy at long range.

Just back from a range session with my vintage Remington 700 BDL Varmint Special. Using 43 grains of IMR 4350, Hornady 100 grain Interlock (BTSP). I clocked multiple groups at or slightly less than .40 at 100 yards. OCL was 2.805.

You cannot beat the old standby. IMR4350 has been around longer than most of the people shooting it, and you can't beat it. And super service from Hodgdon!

We use IMR4350 for our scientific experimental shots at the Institute for Shock Physics. We are very pleased with the repeatability for our experimental data.
