shooting my 38-55 with lead bullets, 255 gr. , I found that after trying 3 powder choices that 4198 was very accurate and very very clean shooting. I was down to the bottom of the can of my old supply and was very happy to be able to get a new supply from you. THANKS FOR THE GREAT PRODUCT AND SERVICE.

This powder works great for my 45/70 gov, loads. It's a very versatile powder with many applications. I only wish it was more ready available. I always grab what I can when I see it for sale. Keep up the good work IMR.

Have not got a chance to shoot this powder yet but I do have a bunch of charges weighed up and I must say while weighting it out the consistency of the powder looks great.

This powder is one of the best that I have used I have been reloading for about 13 years now and I have relied on this powder for most of my rifle bullets needs. I highly recommend this powder and fully recommend this company.

    Equal the H4198

I use the Hodgdon data to reload all my different rounds. I recently bought reloading equipment for my son-in-law and grandsons to reload the .45-70 for Ohio deer hunting. The IMR 4198 with a minimum charge of 53.7 grs under a 300 gr. CT Nosler RN generates around 3400 ft.lbs. of muzzle energy and really puts the Hornady Leverevoltion to shame.
