I purchased this powder to reload 45-70 for my sharps rifle, I don’t load them to hot as I want something enjoyable to shoot all afternoon target shooting. I keep my muzzle velocity down around 1282 FPS. I found this powder to burn clean an not much residue left in the barrel, I really like it. Will buy more when it’s available.

I found the IMR 4198 powder is the most accurate powder for my 7.62 x 39 loads. This powder works well in both semi-auto and bolt action rifles. I like these loads for shooting hogs out to 200 yards, these are head shots. The hogs are dead before they hit the ground. A very fun round to shot and easy for my daughter to handle. I'm waiting for it to come back into stock.
