Against my better interests I'm going to let go a secret. HP-38 is an almost, if not, exact replacement for everybody's favorite: Win231. It can be used in almost every common pistol round - they even put loading data on the label. I've been loading using Win 231 for about 35 years and I'll now use either powder interchangeably. BUT OF COURSE DON'T MIX THEM TOGETHER. Thanks to Hodgdon for selling it at an only slightly elevated, but still reasonable price. The powder meters well in my two Square D presses.

Great powder for the pistols I load, nice yield of rounds per pound of powder, good velocities too.

Have used this for over two years in 357 mag and45 ACP for target shooting and am very happy with it.
