Description
H4831SC is an Extreme extruded powder and the exact ballistic copy of H4831. Physically, it has a shorter grain size which earned it the “SC” designation for “short cut.” The shorter, more compact kernels allow the powder to flow through the powder measures more smoothly, helping to alleviate the constant cutting of granules. With the smoother flow characteristics comes more uniform charge weights, while the individual grains orient more compactly, creating better loading density.
As an Extreme Extruded propellant, it shares the fine quality of insensitivity to hot and cold temperatures, as well as superb uniformity from lot to lot.
It is a favorite for cartridges like the 270 Winchester, 25-06 Remington, 280 Remington and 300 Winchester Magnum.

I've been using H4831SC and H4831 in my 264 Win Mag/ 300 Win Mag/340 Weatherby Mag for over 40 years. I like the SC better only because it's easier to measure. Both have equal velocity and accuracy. I shoot 1000yds at our range easily with my .264 . The product is reliable and has repeatable performance from batch to batch

I use this powder for everything from my 25-06 to my .300 Win Mag with excellent results on paper and in the field. Works great for higher capacity compressed case loads and feeds great through my powder dispenser.

H4148SC “One Hole Wonder”-
Same results where you use H4148 or H4148SC. The difference is H4148SC give more uniform “throws” whether you use it is a powder “thrower” or “electronic thrower. I personally like the “SC” powder. I have a 26” 25-06 Ruger action with a Shelin Cryo’ed Heavy Fluted barrel. Used it 15 years in a row shooting varmints in S.Dakota. At 400 yds it just isn’t fun anymore because H4148SC gives such consistent result shot-to-shot once your scope is dialed in that “pop can” sized P’dog just doesn’t stand a chance. This is the one powder that I can’t do without.
