This Extreme series extruded propellant has gone through some changes since its inception while maintaining the identical burning speed of the past.
The kernels were shortened to improve metering and necessary elements were added to make it insensitive to hot or cold temperatures.
H4198 is outstanding in cartridges like the 222 Remington, 444 Marlin and the 7.62 X 39.
Made in Australia.
Available in 1 lb. and 8 lb. containers.

NEED this in my big and booming calibers like 458s and 45-70s and such. Works great but I sure do go through a lot. Good people to work with and speedy delivery. No hassles.

I use it in so many different calipers I don't know what I would do without it it's that good in my BFR's. I load most of my larger calibers with H-4198 with no problems at all

Reloading powder
Hodgdon powders are some of the best reloading powders on the market. I use Hodgdon Accurate Vivatori for my powders because their ability to hit the fastest FPS.

Outstanding, I use 64 grains in my Arrowhead smokeless muzzleloader, TC encore, getting 2 1/4 inch groups at 400 yards with 275 grain Parker NSR

Hodgdon H4198
I like the H4198 powder over the other brands of 4198 it seems to burn very clean with more energy. Works best in my 45-70 for accuracy. Glad I was able to get this powder thru Hodgdon. Thanks for keeping me in the loop.
