This extruded powder is a member of Hodgdon’s Extreme series of powder with slow-burning characteristics, perfect for highly-overbored magnums like the 7mm Remington Magnum, 7mm STW and the 30-378 Weatherby. In addition, with heavy bullets, H1000 gives top velocity and performance in such cartridges as the 6mm-284, 257 Weatherby, 270 Winchester, and 300 Winchester Magnum. In a short period of time this powder has achieved considerable popularity among long-range match shooters.

Found it to work great in 300 Win mag and 338 Lapua.

Bought H1000 specifically to load .338 Lapua. So far I have only tested it with heavier 300 grain bullets, and it has performed extremely well. Currently the top performer for my Ruger RPR.

The very best thing in my experience for loading magnum cartridges. mine is a .300 ICL. Accuracy, velocity and lower pressure. Also a standout in heavy bullet .243 loads.

Best powder for my 6.5 PRC! Great speed, and very consistant in my experience. With heavy bullets I'm pretty sure it can't be beat. Glad I got a few #'s
