This extruded powder is a member of Hodgdon’s Extreme series of powder with slow-burning characteristics, perfect for highly-overbored magnums like the 7mm Remington Magnum, 7mm STW and the 30-378 Weatherby. In addition, with heavy bullets, H1000 gives top velocity and performance in such cartridges as the 6mm-284, 257 Weatherby, 270 Winchester, and 300 Winchester Magnum. In a short period of time this powder has achieved considerable popularity among long-range match shooters.

EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH THE MONEY FOR 6.5PRC THERE IS NOTHING BETTER TO LIGHT UP THESE ROUNDS

Out of all of the powders I've tried,H1000 is the best in both my 300WM and 338LM reloads and I try to always keep at least 10 lbs. in reserve. Thanks for such a great product! Jeff

7mm mag,24 inch hart bbl,1-9 twist,h1000 powder,175 gr eld-x bullets. 63.5 gr to 65.5 gr powder shot 5/8 to 3/4 inch groups at 100 yd.s with 12x scope and sandbags, slow/ cold bbl 3 shot string groups. quite pleased with this powder/bullet combo. will need to work up or down powder weight to fine tune it, but very pleased. my new load for longer distance shooting.

When loading copper ammo this powder has proven to be the most accurate for my 7MM, 7MM STW and 300 Win Mag. Awesome magnum or overbore powder.

Absolutely love this extreme powder for Magnum rifle reloading for consistent grouping of 257 Weatherby, 300 Win Mag, 338 Lapua. The only downside to H1000 is hard to find in stock lately because of its popularity and wide spectrum of magnum rifle use.
