Really makes my 338 Lapua Magnum sing with 250 grain Berger VLD Hunters. Of course I do follow Brian Litz's loading regimen which isn't for first time reloaders or those faint at heart either. I do the same for my 300 Win Mag bolt gun. I can push the 250's well past 2300 FPS and both are long distance and very lethal on big game like Elk. Better nuy a lot of H1000 if you are going to load 338 Lapua or 300 Win Mag rounds as it takes a lot of propellant to push those pills at supersonic speeds. Been handloading for over 30 years now and H1000 is the ONLY propellant I use for my Magnum big bore long distance bolt guns. I'm a one shot, one kill person and only H1000 does the job consistently. Like Savage quips, model 11-111 338 Lapua can and will shoot into the next zip code. Better be running a powerful scope as well. The 300 Win Mag don't quite have the extreme range of the 338 Lapua however but it's big game killing power is right there with the 338. The 338 with a proper load will hold the projectile supersonic past 1000 yards anytime and it meters easily in my Harrell Culver measure as well. It takes the right tools and prep to achieve consistent accuracy and H1000 always delivers for me and will for you as well.

This is my first time reloading, everyone agrees that Hodgdon H1000 is some of the best powder for magnum caliber cartridges. People Mainly boast it's Reliability and Stability in differing weather conditions.

I shoot a 30.378 Weatherby Accu Mark. 20+ years of 96 grains H1000, 180 grain Nosler Partion. Best ever, deer, elk, etc. load. Glad it was available. Can be hard to find.

Works the best of any powder tried so far in 280 AI using 160 and 168 grain bullets.
been a long dry spell due to unavailable stock. Glad to see some inventory around. H4831 works almost as well just get tighter groups with the h1000.

This powder delivers great results in my .300 Win Mag. This is my “go to” load for exceptional accuracy. Other powders just did not deliver the results required for accurate long range applications.
