This extruded powder is a member of Hodgdon’s Extreme series of powder with slow-burning characteristics, perfect for highly-overbored magnums like the 7mm Remington Magnum, 7mm STW and the 30-378 Weatherby. In addition, with heavy bullets, H1000 gives top velocity and performance in such cartridges as the 6mm-284, 257 Weatherby, 270 Winchester, and 300 Winchester Magnum. In a short period of time this powder has achieved considerable popularity among long-range match shooters.

H1000
H1000 has proven to be an exceptionally accurate powder for my 6.5 - 284 Norma with Berger's 153.5 grain bullet. Very small extreme spread in velocities.

I have been using H1000 for 2 years now in my 300 Win Mag with 208 and 210 grain bullets. Excellent powder for what I'm doing, shooting targets out to 1600 yards. H1000 doesn't meter too well, but using an electronic powder measure gets it pretty consistent. Great powder.

Great Powder for my 300 PRC
I use H1000 for a variety of Berger bullets in my 300 PRC and I'm getting great results with low SDs. Powder meters well.
