Hodgdon Superformance® rifle propellant was developed through a collaboration between Hodgdon Powder Company and Hornady® to answer a straightforward handloading question: can reloaders purchase the powder used in Hornady Superformance factory ammunition? The result is a propellant built for select, published applications rather than broad, one-powder-for-everything use.
Superformance delivers striking velocities in supported cartridges such as 22-250 Remington, 243 Winchester, and 300 Winchester Short Magnum. Hodgdon notes targeted velocities exceeding the best published handloads by more than 100 fps in applicable loads, with even larger gains over factory ammunition.
The tradeoff is intentional: Superformance is tailored to specific cartridge and bullet combinations, so the number of compatible applications is limited. Where published data calls for it, this powder is designed to do its work. Confirm that your exact cartridge and bullet combination is covered before loading, and follow published load data.

I’ve been using this powder in my Sons Model 70 30-06 with 165 GR Accubonds . The combination of the 3 have produced consistent sub MOA groupings and has allowed my son to take 2 bull elk with just 1 shot each. Metering of the powder is very good. I would highly recommend this powder and plan to try it on some of my other caliber gun/bullet combinations
