CFE Pistol contains our Copper Fouling Eraser ingredient, originally used in military propellant, which greatly deters copper fouling and contributes to longer periods of top accuracy with less barrel cleaning time.

I have found this powder to be very dirty when I used the recommended starting load published for 45 ACP. I contact Hodgdon and they recommend decreasing the bullet length (was in spec) and increasing the crimp which I did and it still produced the same results.The load for 45 ACP for Clays using the original length and crimp worked just fine (not dirty at all). I am loading a SS TRP so the gun is high quality so it is not the gun. I have 5-6, 1-lbs containers and will continue to use this powder because of the shortage but would not buy it again.

Loading for a variety of pistol calibers and have not had a complaint with CFE. It meters evenly and consistently with an RCBS lil' Dandy powder measure. Burn rate and performance are spot on in .380 up through 10mm. Great job!
