This spherical propellant yields top velocities in many cartridges such as the 204 Ruger, 223 Remington/5.56mm NATO, 22-250 Remington and the 308 Winchester/7.62mm NATO, plus many, many more.
CFE 223 contains our Copper Fouling Eraser ingredient, originally used in military propellant, which greatly deters copper fouling and contributes to longer periods of top accuracy with less barrel cleaning time.
Being a spherical powder, metering is superbly accurate.
Made in the USA.

Love it
I have used CFE 223 since I first read about it. So, for around 10 years or so. It has performed well. Been accurate and burns clean. Now if I can just get some H 4350, I would be happier lol. Thank you Hodgdon for your powders

I'm new to reloading and this is my go to powder for my .223 loads. Perfect .222 loads for my Remington 660. Great powder!

CFE223 powder
So far I have used this powder for .30-30 Win. with 170gr. bullets and .400 Whelen with 300, 35, and 400gr. bullets. It has worked very well in both and with all bullet weights. I have some other cartridges to try it in and from what I have seen with these two and the load data and what others have said of their use of CFE223 I feel very good about finding a good load in all of the other cartridges.

Excellent powder. Highly accurate results in all the various .224 calibers I use. Meters consistently precise in Dillon Progressive powder hopper. Only 4 stars due to what appears to be excessive powder fouling.
