Ramshot True Blue

I am evaluating True Blue in a 5.7x28 pistol. A very fine powder True Blue meters extremely well. Expected velocities are in the 1800-1900 range with 40gr. V-Max bullets. So far so good!

Good powder, meters well.

I was looking for powder that works for both .357 and .44 magnum that was available. This powder serves that purpose well.

Easy metering spherical powder that I tried for making slower “black-powder velocity” rounds in .45 Colt for Cowboy Action Shooting. Unfortunately it is a high density powder, so even though the charges are higher mass in Grains, they don’t fill the case any more than flaked powders. Accuracy was good and fairly clean burning. The real plus again is how well it meters with the very small spherical granules. Very easy to make consistent charges with this powder.

Works well, little dirt

This is the the first time I have purchased this product. It does load well and powder measuring is accurate through my powder measure. Flows well. I have not tested at the range yet. Delivery was better than expected.

I was looking for a powder I could use for 44 Special and 44 Mag. I was told they don't exist. I have every reference book I could find. Eventually, just checked Ramshot loading data for True Blue. I was able to use this powder for both. Yay. But even better, Using my Orange Lyman powder dispenser I was easily able to dial in the exact load I was going for. Over several hundred rounds measured out over multiple days, this measured out with +/- 0.015gr consistency. Part of that may be the powder measure, but we all know, some powders just meter out better than others. Even the best powder dispenser can't make up for a smoothly metering powder. I usually try to hit low and use a trickler to reach my final load, but I was able to put the trickler away. Really sped up my loading. So, maybe I just got lucky. Maybe you won't share the same experience. BUT, I can't help but give this 5-Stars as it hit 3 of 3 for my needs; it worked with both cartridges, it meter easy & consistently, and the bullets worked like a dream.

My first use of this True Blue and I used it to load some .32 S&W. Wow very little volume used for this caliber. Extremely satisfied with the results!
