Winchester WinClean 244 is a ball powder developed for medium handgun loads. It is ideally suited to 38 Special, 45 Auto, and 9mm standard loads. Consistency, low flash, and a broad range of applications make this powder a choice for any handgun cartridge loader. Since it is a ball powder, it features precise metering. And with the WinClean additive, this powder is cleaner burning and reduces copper fouling.
Clean burning, less leading at higher velocities than other powders in the same burn rate class
Excellent weigh accuracy from powder drop measure.
Great product, couldn't believe they finally had it in stock.
Works well with many different applications. Great place to do business with also.
I loaded up some 9mm 90gr xtp hp and some 124gr fmj rn the heavier ones shot much better. All in all I think it’s a good powder. If components were readily available I would have been able to do more testing.
Nice performance and shoots clean.
Excellent product, shipped quickly. Thank you for offering this product directly and shipping without delay.
WinClean 244 is a very good powder for semi-auto pistol cartridges where absolute maximum speeds are less important than clean burning and consistent measurement. I loaded 155 gr XTP in .40 S&W and they shoot very nicely in initial tests. Not as hot as Longshot, still an admirable powder for range use. Well done!
Meters excellent thanks
Used in 44 magnum. Not the best for magnum rounds but great for plinking loads.
its basically titegroup with cfe technology
this is a fantastic powder. its very economical. burns very clean as advertised and very clean with coated lead bullets. im positive that its titegroup with copper fouling eraser added because it looks exactly the same, smells exactly the same in the bottle and when shooting, and the load charges are exactly the same for all my reloads in my experience. definifely get this powder . very very soft and accurate for 147grain flat point 9mm coated bullets. very consitant velocities over the chrono. thumbs up
We 244 powder
Clean burning , consistent pressures. Works best in 9mm, 45 acp, .40 sw, 38 spl
I grabbed this earlier this year knowing nothing about it but that it was available and I needed powder. I LOVE it! Everything in the product description is accruate, and I think anyone who shoots/loads 9mm or .45 ACP will love it as well.
You Will Love WinClean-244!!!
Covers huge range of cartridges in any case size, for autoloaders & revolvers & carbines. Burned very-clean with very low flash even up to 95% of max loads. Very consistent and easy to predict. Has a longer smoother impulse for more comfort with most of my calibers.
Potent, uses less powder than most grains/load.Clean burning. When it got back on stock, I bought 5 lbs.more! I will most likely stick with this ball powder for my 9mm and 45acp re-loading needs.
Winchester 244 Ball Powder
Loads well and is consistent
Winchester pistol powder.
Shoots clean easily metered for 9mm and 45.
Winchester Winclean 244 powder
Excellent powder! Meters well. Loaded some .45 ACP with large primers with powder loads in the middle of the recommended range and they performed well. Very pleased. Great doing business with Hodgdon also.
Started using 244 the last two cowboy matches. Meters well in my Lee turret press. The start load for .38 SPL 130 gr. cowboy rounds is 4.6 which doesn't look like much. Until you fire one then you know its plenty. No complaints or misfires yet.
A great replacement for the bullseye powder I've been using for millenia ( but unable to obtain for the last couple of years.) Mostly for the 45 acp lead loadings.
Works every bit as good, and the brass is much cleaner after shooting it. Meters better than bullseye too.
Looks like I've found a permanent replacement.
Seem to be a great powder my preference is win 231
