Winchester 760 is a ball powder designed to duplicate the 30-06 Springfield factory load ballistics. With ideal flow characteristics that give 760 an advantage over other propellants with similar burn rates, it is recommended as for 22-250 Remington, 300 Winchester Magnum and 300 WSM.
I use w760 in my 3006 and 308 . I get great accuracy and velocity. I froze some cartridges overnight they only lost 50fps. I don't think think it is as temp sensitive as some people claim. I load 53.5 grains with 165 gr btsp in 3006 2750fps or 56.0 for 2850 fps out of a 22 inch barrel. The 56.0 gr load gets a little hot . In 90 degree summer time.
Gives consistent loads through powder dispenser.
Win 760ith lighter bullets in 7mm.
Great powder for the 270 and 7mm
Winchester 760 provides excellent results when I reload for a .270., 7x57 and I am developing a load for a 6.5 Creedmoor. Excellent velocities, accuracy and great standard deviation numbers when loads are chronographed. Product arrived in a box with the Winchester logo. I like that..
Hodgdon, during the latest run on ammo, and reloading supplies has provided phenomenal customer service.
I ordered Win 760 to load 6.5 CM and I find that it meters perfectly. I’m waiting to shoot the rounds and develop the perfect load using this powder.
Overall a pretty good powder..
Win 760 vs H-414
Have been using h-414 in my 06 for years but since it has been discontinued I will be switching to the 760. I still have a little h-414 left so only rated the 760 3 stars until I can compare. My understanding is they are the same. Time will tell.
Great powder for 22-250 improved
First time reloading here, tried this and it gave me better results than any factory ammo I've tried. Worked well with WIN 270
I use W760 for light and heavy bullet in 243Win,150's and 165'sin 30.06, both my go to hunting caliber s w/great success.
760 Ball Powder
It is one of my favorites! I was so happy to finally buy some again!
Great powder!! I've been using it as long as I've been reloading for my 25 wssm. Meters great and gives me consisten velocities with berger vlds.
Winchester 760, GREAT gunpowder

W 760 powder
It’s a good substitute for h 414
This is my go-to powder for my 30-06. Have been using it for years with great results. Good velocity and very accurate. Also works well in my 6.5 creedmoor.
Use it in a .308 Winchester behind a 165-180 grain bullet with a regular large primer and a light crimp on the pill . This was a top performer in many 308's I loaded and shot for the last 40 years. It has very low s.dev. and high velocity it gave me .25"/ 5 shot groups out of many .308 hunting rifles.
I have a load with Win 760 that has proved to be great medicine for deer, elk, and black bear. Using my .270 Win, Nosler 130 grain Accubond bullets, CCI LR primers, and Nosler brass, I get 3,150 fps in consistent 0.5 MOA groups. I’d highly recommend this powder to anyone reloading for .270 Win.
Winchester 760 powder
I've been reloading ammo for several years. I enjoy using ball propellants as they tend to meter very accurately. This type of propellant is really great for cartridges with a small aperture neck.
I use this in my 30.06 and it shoots great. Never had any problems with this powder.
